Install Closer

One command in your project folder. It checks your Whop purchase before it writes any file.

npx buddies install closer

Installer screens: real text from buddies 0.5.3. The editor part is a reenactment.

What happens

  1. Your browser opens the Whop sign-in. The installer listens on 127.0.0.1 only.
  2. It checks that your Whop account bought Closer. Without the purchase it stops and writes nothing.
  3. It downloads Closer, checks the file integrity and writes it to your project.
  4. It asks where to open: Cursor, Claude Code (terminal), Claude Desktop or Codex. The tool opens with the activation prompt filled in; for Claude Desktop the prompt is copied so you paste it in a Code session. Nothing runs until you confirm.

  • .cursor/skills/buddy-closer/So Cursor finds the skill.
  • .claude/skills/buddy-closer/So Claude Code finds the skill.
  • .agents/skills/buddy-closer/So Codex finds the skill.
  • .grok/skills/buddy-closer/Mirror for tools that read .grok/skills.
  • buddies/workspace/Your business context. Created only if missing. A reinstall never replaces it.

Closer saves its work in buddies-output/closer/.

What it does not do

  • Send messages, change your CRM or connect accounts.
  • Run in the background.
  • Replace an existing install without asking you first.

You need

  • Node.js 20.12 or newer.
  • A Whop account that bought Closer.
  • Claude Code, Cursor or Codex.
  • Tested on macOS. Windows and Linux are not verified yet.
