Who is responsible

Buddies is operated by Antonio Augusto, an individual based in Brazil, who is responsible for the data described on this page. Contact: anttonioaugusto@getbuddies.dev.

This site

The site is hosted as a Whop app on Cloudflare and served at getbuddies.dev through Vercel. Whop adds its own analytics script and Cloudflare adds Web Analytics. They record page views and technical data such as browser, device and approximate location. Vercel keeps standard request logs. Buddies does not add other trackers and does not sell data.

Checkout and sign-in happen on Whop. Your payment details go to Whop and its payment providers, never to Buddies, and the site does not store card data. Whop’s privacy policy: whop.com/privacy

The installer (npx buddies)

When you install a pack, the installer opens Whop sign-in in your browser. It saves the Whop session on your computer in ~/.buddies/credentials. Run npx buddies logout to revoke it and delete the file.

It asks Whop which packs your account bought, then downloads the pack from the Buddies distribution service. That service checks the purchase and sends the files. It does not store your project or your messages. Its hosting provider keeps standard request logs.

The pack is written to your project folder. Without a purchase, nothing is written.

While you work

The packs run inside the AI tool you already use (Claude Code, Cursor or Codex). What you type and the files the tool reads follow that tool’s own terms. Buddies does not receive them.

The files a pack writes, like buddies-output/ and buddies/workspace/, stay in your project.
